I think this is the most colorful bream I've ever caught. I tried to get the colors, the bottom is crimson red.. and the face was bright blue, really beautiful..he/she was released to strut around... it sure does have pretty colors!

One of my favorites. Caught them in North Texas, East Texas, Central Texas, West Texas, or basically any place that has a creek or river. Depending on region, colors vary quite a bit. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but thought sharing pics from different regions would be fun. Urban Dallas Creek Paluxy Neches Onion Blanco Nueces Vogey- Pumpkinseed are not native to TX waters, but have been stocked for forage in some privately managed Bass lakes. I looked thru my field guides for Arkansas and Oklahoma, neither had Pumpkinseeds in the Index. Though I have heard Arkansas has a bunch, I have not caught one up there yet.
