Lots of fun last weekend but I missed two bass that I am going to go back and get even with!

For anyone who hasn't fished Purtis Creek, it is primarily standing timber and stumps, vegetation was largely eradicated. It's a decent numbers lake and most every time I'm out there, someone pulls in a 5+ pounder. About 6 weeks ago, one angler caught an 11.2 lber.

I plan to get there at 6AM get on the water as early as fast as possible, get back off the water around noon.

C'mon out if you have no plans, looking for a destination.

Wished I could, haven't fished there in 4 years. Mondays are my fishing days for a while. I'll be back at Fork this coming Monday if anyone wants to join me.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I'll be in my Slayer Propel 10, Hidden Oak, sort of dark green/grey. If you make it out, the first cove just off the ramp to the right a bit is a good bank to fish up and down to stay out of the wind. There will be some, likely, tomorrow.

I am going to sprint over to the island, fish the north end of it, at least starting there.

Plenty of coves on PC to get back inside of if the wind is too stiff.

I was asleep by your last post, timbertoes, missed seeing your yak out there though there were a few out. Not many, though.

Tough day with the wind already blowing hard at dawn. I ended up going to the island, an unsuccessful stop or two on the way over, and caught several small ones there, then later, caught one more off the standing timber. I was off the water around 12:30.

They certainly appear to have moved off shore a bit, no bites very shallow this time. And, the two larger fish I missed last week? No finding them!!!

I'll be taking the day off for a Purtis Creek trip tomorrow. Hopefully the weather is on my side.
