She specializes in DWI, but I'm not sure if her office handes Denton county cases.

Was the best in Tarant county.
I had a friend who used Tim Powers and ended up with jail time. He swore Powers screwed him over. Was not DWI though.

If it happened in Denton County get a Denton County attorney. I had an friend who used a Tarrant Co. attorney in Denton Co. and got no deals what so ever.

If you drink and drive, get caught, know what you did, admit it and plead guilty, why bother getting a lawyer? What kind of punishment can you get?

Same as you get with a lawyer without the expense of one. Thats what.

Good luck to your family member. Hopefully they learned something and wont do it again.

Because a lawyer will help mitigate the 90 different additional penalties they can apply for driving while impaired. There is not a cookie cutter punishment for DUI. A lawyers sole purpose is not to get his client found innocent or not guilty.

I disagree that people should not get a lawyer, even if they plan to plead guilty. I agree that people should be accountable for their actions, and if you were drunk when you got pulled over, I think you should admit it, but that doesnt necessarily mean you should not get a lawyer or expose yourself to everything the judge can think of to punish you with.
