I’ve got a friend of mine who’s thinking about taking the plunge into kayak fishing. No rookie to fishing, but this will be her first boat. She’s 5’2” with average build. She’s looking at a Vibe Skipjack 90 that she saw on Amazon. Warned her to try before you buy and I think she may heed the advice.

Anybody have any experience with this yak or have any other boats that she may want to no’s in advance for any help!

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,

See if you can find a used Perception Pescador 10(or Tarpon 100) for her. It would be a kayak she could handle, and probably afford. Great small fishing kayak. The new ones were redesigned and it wasn't broken, and they shouldn't have fixed it! IslandJim

I bought a pescador 10 for my girlfriend and she loves it....She likes the seat, the openness and the fact she can reach everything...

My grandson at the age of 7 handled my 14 foot kayak HYBRID with ease. He is an average size kid. This was after an absolutely miserable time in a 9 foot SINK out of Roechelles's
I wouldn't put anyone in a kayak that was only 9 feet long. If they can paddle solo, they need something longer. I would think maybe a OK Scramble would be a much better choice.

I don't go too fast but I go pretty far.
