the tough part of Kayak fishing is picking a lake smile - esp since so many I have not been to, like Lake Murray, Moss and others.
I kinda wish I was camping at Mineral wells, and wonder if I should wait till I can camp! and go to Murray instead. Hate making decisions.

From my experience rain really turns the bite off on Mineral Wells. The crappie will bite but the bass get lock jaw. It's a great lake when the water isn't muddy.

I have fished Crockett really liked that lake. I have been wanting to go back and camp and fish Crockett one day and coffee mill the next. Never been to Moss lake been wanting to check it out as well. Can you tell me anything about Moss? Im curious to know more about it before I drive up there. Lake Murray is an awesome lake as well. A buddy and I fished Murray last October and had a blast.

Skunked on Coffee Mill. That was my 4th trip there, always skunked.

Never been to Moss, its on my list!

Going to RR today to see if new fuel pump and carb cleaning fixed my Tin boat motor, I want to Tin boat Murray LOL.

Think I am still having problemns with Gramin FF / Transducer. The FF display never shows depth in upper left corner, and lake bottom is very ambigous.
First time I used it it was fine. never since then though.
