Need to install a safety ladder on my boat.
Anyone ever done it?
I'm very handy, but nervous as hell about putting holes in my transom or rear deck.
Let's hear what you all say.

Buy one that utilizes the jack plate....no new holes and no possibility of messing up the hull.

Even if you don't have a jack plate, you can still find ladder's that use the motor mount bolts. This is the one I use on my G3.

none better than R&R Design, Terrell, Tx. E-ladder, plus whichever bracket it takes to adapt to the rear of your boat, no holes to drill.

Man, my wife said "you can buy a boat as long as I can swim off of it".

This was installed instantly.

Those mounted to jack plate are hard to use when you are old and fat.

I agree. But, it is better than drowning. I don't use the boat for swimming. If I get wet fishing, something is t going as planned for sure.
