Not that I can ever seriously complain about being a guide, but here lately I've been very much enjoying myself. I'm fishing docks and brush all over DFW and Cedar Creek with my best results coming from 8-16ft. On dark days I'm staying shallow and as the sun gets up I'm either looking for deeper docks or brush piles. I'm fishing several different lakes right now and it's the same everywhere. My best jig is a Thump Chubby in the Blue Lightning color, my favorite set up is a 7ft G Rod with a Pflueger President or Shimano reel, and I'm using 8lb Hi-Vis mono. Brush or docks, it doesn't matter right now. Get out and go fishing.
We are averaging 58 keeeprs per half day right now and I'm loving every minute.
