I have a helix 7 and lake master mapping card. when ever I zoom in or out the screen goes white for 2 or 3 seconds before the image reappears. Any suggestions would help. Don't say Lowrance already kicking myself.
Thanks for your help.

Isn't it just the fact that it's the card re-booting, mine only does it when zoomed more than one level at a time, still doesn't take very long, comparably. The original Navionics card was so-o-o slo-ow, you could run over something before it changed!

Can't offer any help, only sympathy. My 7si does the same on LM. It's worse on Navionics but works fine using Basemap. Also, when switching to chart view or a combo/chart it will periodically just shut down. Unit went back to HB and came back clean, no problem found.

My old Garmin had fast, smooth transitions using their basic lakevu maps. Upgraded to HB to get more map options. Have more options now but unit is less functional.

Been saving up for a helix... sounds like I might need to reconsider.

Good to know. Been back and forth between a few different graphs but it's such a hard decision. Now I know how my wife feels when I ask her what she wants for dinner.

I have only used Lowrance no problems none, had one garmin no problem. One HUMMINGBIRD and regret ever buying the darn thing. If your contemplating about a unit stay away from hummingbird.

cubby - what’s too fast with your unit?

My helix 7 can only handle one click at at a time wait on redraw and click again.
if I hit zoom 3 times turns unit off entirely. Only when using chip though works great without chip
