Got into them big time on Saturday morning 10:30 a.m. Lots of action and fun. We were north of the I-30 bridge in Rockwall in the early morning looking for some largemouth. Then 10:30 we decided to head south. We slowed to go under the I-30 bridge and my son in law was just trolling a rattle trap. When we got by the bridge on the west side just before going under the bridge, he caught one. So we stopped and continued to cast and catch them. He was catching the smaller ones on a silver/black 1/4 oz rattle trap and I was throwing a Bill Norman middle N in chartreuse/blue and catching bigger ones. We kept 20 all total but left some for the others around us.
We had to keep checking some of the bigger ones to make sure they were not small hybrids. The lateral lines were not broken and faint below the center line. Kept checking the tooth patch too, but I have to say that tooth patch thing is goofy. All of them had the single patch in the back.
Be careful.
