Managed 25 today. No big fish, kept one 10.5"er all the rest were 11-13". Most were on submerged brush in 17-22fow at 12-14 ft. Stump Thumper Jigs in Light Blue Splash was the jig of choice. Water temp was 74-76 degrees. Really starting to like my new 8ft Waterloo custom rod. Several fish had 3-4" shad in their bellies.

Nice mess of fish. Which model of Waterloo rod do you have?

Glenn,
It is not one that is on their website. Late last year I had Jimmy and Carson start looking for me an 8ft blank that would make a good crappie rod. I'll be honest the first one was a little heavy and a little too stiff for my liking but it worked great when the crappie were in heavy cover and I could "horse" them out. Unfortunately, back in February I had a little accident while on the boat twisting my ankle. During the process I broke the rod. So, I went back to them and they started looking for another blank. They found an 8'2" walleye blank and made me one. For my normal style of fishing all I can say is they hit it out of the park. So much so, that I ordered another one for my daughter which should be ready this week. I had them put spinning eyes on it but the first eye is a little smaller than normal. When I go to pick my daughters' rod up I am going to order myself another one and have them tip an inch or two off the tip just to have a slightly different action. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

What blank mfg did they use for your rod?
