Me and a buddy have been wanting to go to Camelot bell for a while and Tuesday and Wednesday we finally did it. We fished wolfpack Tuesday and Camelot Wednesday. If your on the fence about going go ahead and do it. Mike is great guy that loves to see people catch big fish atleast as much as the people like catching them. He made the stay and everything top notch and was just a good guy all around. The guys that live closer are used to that landscape but being from the golden triangle getting up there is really cool with beautiful landscapes. Not sure like has ever noticed but each dam on the lakes has a great view almost like one of those never ending pools. The fishing was really fun even with a BIG north wind coming in Wednesday. Caught an 11.53 on wolfpack which is my first dd and talk about a massive fish. I've seen a 12 at a weigh in but when you get one of those fish in your hands it's crazy how big they really are, even comparing them to a few 9s I've caught. The 5s and 6s on wolfpack are tanks too, crazy how fast they are growing on that lake and it's my style of fishing with some grass, timber, and even a little structure fishing. We knew a front was coming Wednesday so we didn't know how the bell would fish but we thought it may be good. Biggest we boated was 7.5 but we had a few chances at bigger ones. Atleast 2 dd got off or broke our line and we lost a few other bigger fish. I had an 8 come off about 10' from the boat. It took us a bit to figure out the bite but once we did it was nonstop until we left and ended up with around 60 for the day. I guess by most not catching one over 7.5 on the bell may be a fail but we did have legitimate chances that we screwed up so that's on us. One thing that was cool was every now and then you would see a BIG fish just cruising close to the surface not afraid of anything. They just swam around for a second and cruised back wherever they were. Talk about strong fish too, a 6 will surprise you when you set the hook. I'm probably forgetting a few things but we will be going back for sure. Got to say thanks to my buddy for one heck of a wedding gift!

And yes, the fin is that dark on her side. One was dark like that and the other wasn't. Pretty cool markings
