Made me think of Ike diving in after he broke the fish off and grabbing his line,,,, but never losing contact with the boat.

I don't even know what the rule is but that seems fine to me. The dude's fishing, he's touching his boat. Idk, I wouldn't be mad if I was competing against that guy

Its been years ago, but dont yall remember when Iaconelli broke a fish off, jumped in the water, grabbed the line, got back in the boat, and pulled the fish in? It was legal because he kept one hand on the boat the whole time. These guys know the rule book very well. Edit: found the clip. Enjoy! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NvdQYnnr1s4

His body weight stayed on his left leg. He used his right leg on the dock to stabilize and hold but did not exit or shift the majority of his weight to the dock side leg. Again, as has been pointed out he had a lot of 'eyes' on him and if he was breaking a rule it would have been swiftly dealt with.
Grateful for every sunrise and sunset I get to witness. - Jason

Ike jumped in public water.
Jacob was standing on a private dock.
Im not saying he should be DQd or he is trespassing, but if I were in same situation, I am not standing on someones dock. The majority of his weight was on that dock several times.
Dont know how that is allowed, but if BASS says its within the rules, thats good enough for me.
But if you are in my boat, you wont put a foot on someones dock other than to push off.

But if you are in my boat, you wont put a foot on someones dock other than to push off. Lets be real, he had a single foot on about a 6" corner of the dock. He was not "standing on a dock". He was not hurting anything at all and a dock owner would have to be wound pretty tight to fall that trespassing. No DQ by BASS is what is relevant.
