Still a few fish spawning in Turtle Creek. Caught the 3 lb male on the bed this morning, and got the female around lunchtime. She went 21" and a shade under 6 lbs. The male was caught pretty quickly on a creature bait. She ignored several different soft plastics but immediately got agitated when a Hula Popper showed up. After a few casts she absolutely hammered it. Love that there's such quality fish in a small urban creek!

Pulled out my personal best LMB from Turtle Creek today - 22" and 6.55 lbs., caught on a senko. It was a shame there was no one around I could ask to take a picture. She is laying beside a size 11 Croc. I saw two other large fish cruising in the shallows, including one that I believe may have been even larger than the one I caught. But no luck with either of those. The bass in TC get very active in the spring & summer months!
