Y'all need to come out next Thursday, 26 boats, over $400.00 for first, 13+ lbs won it, and a 7+ lb big bass.

They start measuring fish at weigh in yet?

I�ll second that!! A tape on deck needs to happen. There are some anglers concerned. Maybe some aren�t aware of the slot, it needs to be addressed.

Has anyone spoken up at the weigh-in regarding the questionable fish? Maybe some folks just need a little educating on how to properly measure. Last week I had an over that I measured on two different boards before I would put it in the well.

Agreed!!! Seen many of questionable fish weighed in there and it has been growing this year with an average of 20-30 teams per tournament which means more money on the line they need to start measuring regularly.

We won last week and we threw a fish back that touched 18. Her tail would just touch but it was to close to call so we threw her back. But I agree measure every fish.

if anybody would like to take over I will more than happy to let you or you can just show up and help measure every fish or we can go back the way it use to be where the winner takes the scales it got to where nobody wanted to do that yall can fire me(please)and do it any way you want to.i will keep doing this if somebody will step up and help been having 25 plus boats every week.

I'm with Bart, somebody step up and offer to help.
I write down all the weights, Bart weighs all the fish, we need a third person if we are going to measure all the fish as well.
I'll measure if somebody wants to do all the writing, I'll bring a table to do the measuring on so we don't have to do it on Bart's new boat.
Don't bash Bart, he's a 1 man show right now, and I don't want to run the tournament every Thursday, so I'm thankful he is willing to.

I dont mind measuring fish bro. We couldent come out last night due to Jeffs wifes Birthday. I also have certified scales if we need to get two going at a time. We will see you guys next Thursday.

First, I would like to thank Bart for his time and effort of taking care of the Thursday night tournaments. In regards to last Thursday night, 7/5/2018 - I would like to apologize for foul language used at the weigh-in. Addressing the problem of not measuring fish and even though I offered to set up a table and measure the fish myself, he refused help and specifically stated that we would not even be needing a ruler. At the end, the last person weighing in, had at least 1 very questionable fish. I had already been told that my daughter and I won the tournament and we left the scales to release our fish but the weigh-in continued and the last team bumped us from first place without their questionable fish being measured.

I have been fishing this Thursday night tournament for 25 years and I feel there needs to be a change. In order for all who enter and pay the entry fee to be treated fairly, the fish need to be measured. I suggest giving every team a number, putting the numbers in a hat, drawing one out and that team be in charge of measuring the fish that night.

It�s a Thursday night working mans, it�s not the bassmaster classic.

I will measure every fish from now on until somebody steps up to take over this job but I will say it again FIRE ME PLEASE

There is no limit on spotted bass and if your not at weigh in looking at the fish or you don't know how to tell what a spot looks like, you might want to learn. A 14 1/8inch spot is a legal fish. Or even a 17 7/8inch spot is a league fish.Just saying.

Lol Bart it sucks I deal with it on Wed. Night. I just pull the stick out every couple tourneys and always measure a fish that looks questionable. It�s sad to say I had an Angler bring a 17 in fish to weigh in. It was not even close. And the Angler is a good one and that fish wouldn�t measure on any board. Your not going to make everyone happy that�s just the way it is. But I would just pull that stick out every once in a while or any fish you think looks on the small side. Most guys that�s been fishing the slot lakes know an 18 in fish. I have had guys challenge a fish length and so far they been wrong every time. The one short fish didn�t need to be challenged I knew at one look that fish was short. Good luck man if you ever need help give me a holla.

running a tournament of any size is a thankless job there will always be someone to complain if you don't like the way its run don't fish it or find anther tournament that suits you swearing at the td will get you nowhere.

Sound like Rick James needs to find something else to do on Thursday night.

Yes, the tournaments are still going on.
We leave out of Wise County Park at 5:50 PM and are back inside the buoys at 9:30 PM.
It is $40.00 per boat single or team either is ok.
All you have to do is show up and pay your money, it is open to all.
YES WE ARE MEASURING EVERY FISH.
Come out and fish, we have a good time.

Just to let everybody know, we weighed in a 5.60 lb small mouth last night, they're still in there.

So I guess they did not change the slot to minimum of 14" on Bridgeport?

It no longer has a slot beginning September 1st.

I usually fish with a friend, however he won't be able to make it tonight due to football game. Anyone got a back seat open and need a partner? Ill cover entry fee.
