I love properly cooked calves liver and onions. Thing is most people don’t cook it right.

Mom made some weight watchers liver chilli one timw. I ate some without knowing what it was. Told her it didn't taste right. Didn't eat any more after she told me what it
was.
Used to work for KFC and would save the chicken hearts for after closing. Liked the hearts but could not eat the livers or gizzards.

There is no logical reason to eat a blood filtering organ....none. I concur.

I don't know if this is the secret to tasty liver, but my mom used to soak the liver in warm salt water which took all the blood out of it, then soak it in milk, then roll it in flour and bread crumbs and fry in butter,....with onions
I've made many a hater say yumm !!
I never met a fish I didn't like,........

my mom used to fix beef liver. never could stand it. she'd make me and my brothers eat it. we cornered her a few years ago. as expected she hasn't fixed liver since the last child left home.....Liver wasn't nothing but cruel and unusual punishment for me and my brothers.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

I have told this story before. My favorite Uncle visited every year ... he jumped on D Day. Would go squirril hunting .... with good successs. His favorite was thier head. Eating thier brains like a 3 minute egg. Old school. I didn't go Squirril brains. I love squirrel brains...haven't had them in years. As for as liver....I like innards.
