Late start but headed back to Naconiche Friday. Parking lot overflowed with 10 trailers lining the road up the hill. Windy with water temps 74, water wasn't muddy at all up towards the bridge. Took a while but finally started catching when I started dead sticking plastics. Never got bit on any moving bait. Had to wait at least 15 seconds but it didn't matter what I threw... sinkos, small brush hogs, flukes, swimbaits. Didn't seem to matter what color either. Only caught 6 but broke a good one off that I got a good look at when it jumped later. Missed more than I caught. Biggest nearly 21 inches, weighed 4-6, a couple in the 3 lb range.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Good report. Love that site there at the bridge, such an awesome view, just gets you pumped to get in there. We went last week and had poor weather (20+ mph winds north for 2 days - ice on our equipment 2 mornings). But fishing was great. Water temps had dropped to 67 or so. Had to kayak it to the coves or get in the woods to hold a spot in the wind. We caught about 3 that were over 8, several 5's and 6's and lots of 2 - 3 pounders. Green pumpkin chartreused tipped was the key for me. One dink the whole trip! Can't wait to get back down there.

Got to make time to get out on Naconiche while a majority of the timber is still standing. Work just keeps getting in the way.
