 Bad Fuse in Engine

Took my boat out this past week and it wouldnt start. It takes a little TLC to get going so right before I put it in the water I turned the key to see if she was gonna turn over. It did so I killed it, had my buddy back it into the water and then as soon as I got off the trailer nothing would happen when I turned the key. Our suspension is that we got water into the battery compartment and there may have been an exposed wire so it blew a fuse. Can anyone help???

Double and triple check your kill switch. Make sure all battery connections are tight, possibly rough them up with sandpaper. I was getting a poor connection on mine a month ago, cleaned them up and haven't had a problem since. Check fuses if necessary.

Another possibility is the neutral safety switch? Wiggle the shifter while turning the key.

What motor? The Etecs have a 10A fuse under the cowling on the left side.
