I think I have made my decision. Going to do 1/64, 1/32, 1/16 and 1/8 hand tied jigs. I may expand out more down the road but for right now going to stick to these sizes.

I got a couple pretty good size orders to start on next week and once I get them done I will be able to pour heads and get stocked up for the winter bite.

Thanks for all the info guys.

I like the 1/24 with a #6 hook. I use a lot when I don't know whether to use 1/32 or 1/16. Actually what I like the best is which ever is closest to the crappie's mouth.

I use them for Gills and trout. Have tied for Crappie and they only get used when the bite is very light or high pressured locations.

who makes a good 32nd oz jig with a number 8 hook, eagle claw round bend style

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Abbott or REDGUN, Will get you tended to, I think...I prefer to use the matsuo sickle 8 in 1/64, in a bronze...it will bend like the eagle claw, but will hold a BIG fish much better than the eagle claw...I forget if their mold will allow for a 1/32 in 8...but hey, all you have to do is ask them...BTW, I lost a lake record today, using an eagle claw round bend... bang
