I have been down to South Padre Island once, many years ago. Would love to hear about any fishing from shore areas in the surf or bay for those dates above. Being retired and on a fixed income I am pretty much limited to that shore fishing but I would also like to know of any Gulf party boat trips and what they might be after at that time of year. I spend most of my time on TFF on the Bass Fishing page but occasionally we do go to Port Aransas, Mustang Island, and on down to North Padre Island but will be meeting some friends from Missouri way down south later this month. Thanks for any help you can give me.

You can easily access the north jetty and can get to the surf from any number of beach access points if you're not staying at a place on the beach. You can wade the bay behind the Convention Center where there is a nice sand bottom with grass and potholes. There are a few private piers in the area, but I don't have experience with any of them.

Better have a 4x4 to make it to the inlet. After access #6 its not maintained.
