Lake Sharon doesn't have any good places to bank fish. I have driven thru there but the residents don't look to friendly to letting strangers fish their little pond.

no its in an h.o.a. a little farther up Teasley. I was going to go after work today but the rain but that to bed. I have a phone app where a couple of guys have caught 6 and 7 pound large mouth out of that pond.

Perhaps we can ask for the HOA's blessing To CPR at Lake Sharon. Anyone been out to Denton ponds since yesterday?

Haven't been back to this post in 2 years, glad it's still rolling. I have fished the dog park, north lake and a couple other small ponds around Denton. I want to try Lake Sharon with my canoe. Anyone have ant info on Rayzor Lake behind Ben E. Keith?

Lake Sharon H.O.A. said they don't mind if you clean up after yourself,catch and release only!, and no boats or flotation devices. Good luck!

Let me know when you head up to Denton.. I've been thinking about Unicorn too.. Looks like there may be some lilly pads from the google earth image

There is a dispute between the owner of Unicorn lake and the city so the owner won't let anybody fish Unicorn. It is heavily posted around the lake. Kills me because I can walk there.

I saw that.. Drove by the other day to check them out. Signs everywhere.. They do say "Members only" and have a phone number to call. I figured they were exclusive to the apartments back there.

Frustrating.. The two ponds I could see looked REALLY good. The big one is surrounded by cattails and the smaller one is covered in lilly pads. These are the 'fishiest' looking ponds I have seen in Denton.

Sigh..

I'm a Denton local and really enjoyed that these guys tried to keep our Denton ponds from being raped, it really seemed like they cared.

Would love to see this thread continue for us Dentonites.

And for good measure here's a recent LMB. It ain't no 7+lb fatty but it is a nice local fish, plus a dying thread could use some more pics every now and then.

Carlos had a baby and retired from fishing, least for the last year or two.

FFM has relocated but is doing well and catching fish!

Kolton has had two babies, and is also in semi retirement with the little ones.
