Catch up on Lake Palestine
Well it’s been busy here and we are a little behind on posting.
Wednesday & Thursday:
Dewayne booked two days for him and his friends Ron and Susan. The bite has been tough on Palestine. The fish are stacked on brush good. There is enough fish stacked on the piles to only fish 4-6 piles and limit out. These fronts coming in and out every few days is hurting the bite. The bite has been real, real light. Most of the time they are taking the weight of the jig head up, so you are constantly watching your line and move from pile to pile around a lot.
Dewayne and Ron worked together for years and are recently retired. So they are trying to get caught up on their crappie fishing. They caught 31 crappie! Susan joined them the second day and caught 35 crappie!
Monday & Tuesday
On the first day we took Tom and Leslie’s new boat. We played with the graphs and found some way point brush piles to load on his graph. Drove around and looked at houses for sale.
Day two leslie put a whooping on the big fish. Tom and I couldn’t understand it. So we just sat back and watched her. Always have a great time with this couple. Bite was tough again. Didn’t have the big numbers but the quality made up for it.
Thank you guys for fishing with me.
If the fronts would quite coming in and out. I believe the bite will get a lot better.
If your looking to get on some East Texas Slabs give me a call.
Please remember NO Alcohol.
