I hung a 225 Verado on a 1994 ranger 492vs. It was my dads boat and I am keeping it forever. I have been through it front to back, re carpeted myself, run an ultrex and two hds 12s. No boat payment and catches just as many fish as the $60k boat I used to run

IF you're going to keep the boat it worth it. If not it'll kill the resale.

I love the smell of two stroke in the morning.
