 White Bass in Lake Monticello?

Does anyone know how the white bass (sand bass) got into Lake Monticello? I have fished the lake for 30+ years and never caught one, until this week when we caught several dozen. I don't think they came from the upper watershed, maybe through pumping water in from Bob Sandlin? Why now?

I haven't been in a while but from my understanding they opened the dam gates between Bob and monti,which is why monti water levels are low now. Bob is full of sandbass and now monti to will have them to.

Sandlin and Monticello are basically at the same level since mid January. With the lakes at same level sandies will go into Monticello specially when current is flowing into sandlin, more so during spawning periods.
