Hello,

I am an engineer working on designing a lure that could catch a fish without using a hook. If you have 2 minutes, I would greatly appreciate you filling out this quick survey about this!

Thanks!

Interesting idea, I wonder how it'd work. confused

Fish care is big for me, but if I have to sacrifice effectiveness I'd much rather go with something that would repair the fish's mouth/battle wounds like this fish spray: Carp Mouth/Body Spray

IMO, it would do no good to market this product without education of proper fish care. When you've got people holding fish by the gills, not supporting their body weight, dropping them on hard surfaces, placing them on the ground and removing their protective slime layer, and keeping them out of the water too long I don't exactly think they'd be too concerned with how the hook can damage a fish. There are people who voluntarily use barbless hooks for fish care (as opposed to those who use them just because it's illegal in some places not to), so there could very well be a consumer base for this. I'd be interested in seeing how it plays out.

So, how does this hookless lure work?

I do not want to give away my idea! I am working on a prototype in Autodesk, and am going to be making a mold soon after.

Once you have your prototype I would love to see how this works! Very interesting!

Does it use a self inflating velcro balloon? bolt
