Side Note: I use both a slip and regular float on a as needed basis! eeks

You bet. I always work with two rods when fishing for sunfish.
One is rigged with one of my homemade slip-float quills, the other is
rigged with a down shot rig. Some days and some situations
one will work better than the other. The kid in me always likes
the quill bite better. grin

I used them a lot in my younger years while chasing crappie! Loved em. I mainly fish for White Bass,Fresh Water Reds,Catfish,and Striped Bass. Very rarely do I use a float now. When I do use them it's a slip float!
