How is the Striper bite on Texoma? We are headed over there may 11th. For our 31st wedding anniversary. Never fished the lake what's the best part of lake for stripers?

31st wedding anniversary and she still goes fishing with you? Sounds like you already got a great catch!

Too windy and stormy to fish today so I had time to look and check this out.
May is a great month on Texoma you can catch them just about anyway you want to. if you like to use live bait its one of the top months for that if you like to catch them on top water, slabs and sassy shad like me its a great month for that as well people also just troll those big umbrella rigs and catch fish. If you are interested in hiring a guide to help make your stay more successful I suggest for artificial baits will definitely use us www.striperexpress.com but for live bait trips there are several great guides such as Jd Lyle & Steve Barnes who specialize in that that I could refer you to or if you like to troll there are guides like Steve French who specialize in trolling and catching them it all depends what youre looking for

First choice for me would be to launch at Lighthouse or other ramp in Little Mineral and head north looking for the navy. Preston Point, NW side of table top, Washita, mouth of McCullough creek are my normal May areas. I say normal because I am not sure this year is normal. Unless you just want to strike out on your own then like others said hire a guide.

If you go the guide way, Striper Express would be my choice. Chris will and can put you on fish . Just saying from personal experience. Hope you have a great trip on your anniversary.
