Same with me. With the exception of guides, I have had a handful of good trips out of many, many trips. I can't tell you how many times I have zeroed or caught 1 or 2 fish. I can usually go to any lake and catch fish and figure something out. Not Fork. I think Fork is one of those lakes that the people that do really well out there fish it A LOT. The lake has changed so much and does get a lot of pressure. I, like you, and most people, just don't have the time or money to fish it and learn it like it needs to be in order to truly be successful out there. The allure is still there and I go, but I have stayed away from Fork and concentrated more on other lakes where I know I won't be as disappointed. Its all about that time on the water and I just don't have the time available that lake needs in order to really be successful on it.

Heck, I got a place on the lake but still a week ender. This spring has been tough on me as conditions have changed weekly. If I can catch it after a couple stable days I good.

All the bass have been sucked down the sinkhole in the back of Williams!! Take redmojo's advice, other lakes are much better, nothing to see here, move on! cyclop

Just spent two days on Fork. 7 fish. Biggest 4 pounds. I've fished Fork since it opened. I've had great days and horrible days. But I KNOW that on that lake ANY cast can put a double digits fish in the boat. I'll get em next time!!

And that ^^^ is the real story. I did a half day evening trip once where I had exactly one bite in 4 hours. That bite weighed 11 lbs 5 oz. You can catch numbers at Fork but the only numbers I really care about are on my scale and above 10.

Many people I see fishing Fork right now are fishing the bank and moving way too fast.
