7 innings, 1 hit, 12 k's. Batting average .389 with 7 rbi's and 3 dingers. I would say he's playing up to all of the hype

91 pitches in 7 innings, that's efficient.

Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

I'm calling it now. GOAT! He sure seems to have all the tools, but before we put THAT label on him, let's see what happens a few months down the road when pitchers and hitters have time to adjust. This guy is new. Almost nobody in MLB has played against him.

Family is everything! Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

Long way to go. I absolutely do not think a valid comparison to Babe Ruth can be made. The Babe had a 10 year career as a pitcher (5 full time and the others just a game or two per year) and had a 2.28 career ERA. Set the record at the time with 29 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings in the World Series. Not broken till Whitey Ford 43 years later. Then he started hitting full time.

I wonder in his prime would Babe Ruth put up the stats today that he did when he played? Sure he was great, but day in and day out did they have huge pitchers throwing 98mph plus, heck they didn't even wear batting helmets, personally I think Randy Johnson would have scared the &##& out of Ruth

The pitchers today get much better training and science. Yes, you are right. By all means, in the last 30 or so years we have the best performing athletes we have ever had.
But put these guys on the field back then with their technology and you would not have them performing as they do now. People have not gotten better, technology has. To keep things in proper perspective we can do a total which would favor the new guys or put them in their time slots which is where most athletes are currently judged.
Babe Ruth may have pitched the most outstanding game in World Series history. Look it up. 14 innings allowing 1 run and he had one RBI in a game when Boston beat Brooklyn 2-1, 1916 game 2.
