Is swindles knot not a double improved clinch? If not its dang close?

The video was choppy on my laptop but it looked like a double clinch to me. Didn't see him run the tag through the upper loop.

Yeah, I noticed he didnt run it back through as the last step (e.g. double but not double improved I guess).

I tie the shaw Grigsby and haven't broke it yet. I even tie it for trout with 2 pound test. It's a fantastic knot

I use a palomar for years with fluro and never a problem, I have seen several use that knot, whatever works.

I use a Palomar knot as well with flouro and have never had an issue... just wet the knot. I use this knot for everything actually.

ONLY knot I tie. Also called the Berkley Braid Knot. Gotta be close to 100% because I've never broken off at the knot since changing to this one. With any line. Simply the best, fastest knot known to man.

Everyone does what works for them. What he tied looked like a double San Diego jam knot to me...I tie a �single San Diego jam knot� in other words I don�t pass the doubled over line through the eye of the hook, just the line itself. I�ve found it to be just as strong and there is only 1 tag end, which is cleaner and doesn�t catch on as much slip or cover.
