A friend's been having some issues and a mechanic was to fix it and he just got it back and had it to the lake and it's doing the same thing. I'll copy his words and try to clean then up.

It runs great for a few. I can run across the lake just fine but then I stop and fish and go to start it up and motor
fuse is blown. Then I change the fuse and it starts right up a few times but then it doesn't do anything even when the fuse is good. Happens like that Everytime I've taken it out so far. Seems like when it gets warm everything goes to [censored]. Really sucks because I have a tournament on Sunda

Sounds like one of the trim wires shorting in the control handle.

trim feed/control is completely separate from everything else with its own fuse.. only thing it has in common is tha 12v from tha battery...... why it works with key off.... something bad with it will not effect tha way other 'lectric parts work unless it melts tha battery post... something they shoulda known.
