We know that it was reported a large part of the Leon Dam face slid down a few nights ago. We know that they don’t allow boaters on the lake. We know they closed the road that goes over the Dam. We know work had started to correct the problem area. I’m sure some of you must know if their efforts are working and how long will it take. That lake flooded a few years ago with water in many of the houses. That may have damaged the dam during that event because it seems odd an over sixty year old dam would wait until now to give way. What new information do any of you have about the progress going on at Leon if any.

We had a tournament there on the 21st and our TD was told that they didnt think it would be open by then or not. I had planned to stay there for a week before our tournament but now thats out. I sure love that little lake.

You never want a drink of water till the well runs dry

Called yesterday and he said at least a month.
Dumb that it is closed. The erosion slip at the dam isn’t close to the water and no wave action is going to affect it. If anything they should just close that last few hundred yards of lake.
Just a little government agency getting to flex it little muscles some.
