If so what brand of liner did you use? how is it holding up?

Looking at doing my 17'6" crappie boat from the gunnel down, so it will be on both wood and aluminum

Ive seen one done. He WISHES he wouldnt have. It was like an oven from late spring thru the fall. You might consider doing the epoxy paint with sand mixed in. A LOT cooler. Ive seen several older crappie boats done with that & they love em.

the good news it is easy to clean an the bad news is on the sprayed on material like xpress uses when the lake is rough it gives your rods an reels on the deck a rash an the vibration you will have screws an reel parts in the floor of the boat. the sea deck is another option it has a little cushion an doesn't do damage to the rods an reels.

Thought about that and I found some in a light tan color that I want to go with. Can't be any hotter than the bare aluminum.

Never thought about the deck rash, but I can always go with a neoprene pad where the reels will lay.

Going to keep the carpet in the rod locker and storage compartments

I looked at the sea deck stuff, looks great, but pretty pricy for a what I'm looking at doing.

I dont exactly know what you're wantin to spend or how long you wanna keep this boat but we do have a better solution for your floor and sidewalls . I's non-slip , has cushion to it , pressure wash it out and you can not get it off unless you're usin a chisel and sledge hammer . Also a lifetime warranty . Last time you'll ever haveta think about that floor . If you'd like to see some pics , I can show ya some . What kind of boat do ya have ? Do ya have any pics of your boat ? You can send em to me in a email or txt if you'd like to . We're workin on a bass boat right now and a striper guides boats comin in next week but we can get ya in in a couple weeks if ya decide to go with us . As far as bedliner goes , if the aluminum is solvent cleaned good , it'll last ya a few years . We've had to chip off alot of it in 1 boat we've done where it was stuck down good , but there was alot of areas that had bubbled and fell off . The wood would haveta be dry dry dry for the bediner to adhere to good also . Just throwin out another option for ya to think about .

The ones I have seen look pretty bad and can imagine them being hot. I’ve seen other material being cut and glued down similar to carpet but are easy to clean, offer some padding and the price is pretty good. Try YouTube

From what I've read and heard, safe-floor is the way to go if you are keeping the boat. It's laid by hand and it's only 1/4" thick, so the weight addition should be minimal. There is a marine version of Line-X that gets a lot of good press but only a couple of places in the country that can apply it. Regular truck bed liner will be a disaster. It's hot, holds dirt, and gets sticky in direct heat.
My 18' Seaark CC has a deck coating, trade name Gator-Hyde, that is really good but I don't know if it would be available to the DIY people. I would love to get mine done in Safe-Floor, but I'm not sure I could afford it at this time.

I had a couple guys do the floor with the recycled rubber tiny chips in my Ranger, "Safe Floor" they're up in Wylie / Lucas area.
It's been awesome and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. They can make any color combinations you can think up.

I would not use it in the cockpit but I want to do my bilge. The problem is I have been unable to find white in a spray can.
