Headed up there next thursday for the annual beer drinking trip with a little fishing...

Anyone been on the lake the last couple weeks?
Whats the water temp?
Is it muddied up from the rain a couple weeks ago?

I usually stick to the bank but will have access to a boat one day, pretty excited to see more of the lake

Lake is 5 feet high right now dropping about a foot a day but we are supposed to get some rain. Water is dirty up the river, just right about mid-lake and a little dingy still down low. It is not gin clear anywhere. Lake temp is around 62, bass on beds. Methiolate trick worms weightless, chatterbaits really about anything will get you bit. Walleyes are good before daylight on clown x-rap jerkbaits.

Have you run into any crappie or sand bass?

Sandies were spawning up the river but should be finished. Water has been extremely high so crappie has been scattered especially with them pulling water everyday for the last month nearly. Most consistent has been bass or smallies.

I have a house up there, just got back from fishing last Friday, lake is up but falling back to more normal levels, bass was good on brush hogs , a few on spinner baits, clarity is clear up towards the dam, a little off color, just right for me about mid lake then starts getting more stained up in the river, but not muddy, spawn is starting, water temp last week was low sixty to mid sixty, also caught some on sinkos, but all small buck bass

Thanks guys!

Have y'all heard anything about the state park cracking down on the 3.2 law/rule? It was brought to my attention you aren't allowed to have any beer/alcohol that is stronger than 3.2 in the park? We've been going for almost 10 years and never had an issue, but was told some people have been getting tickets for it.

Just carry on, and call me if you need bail money.
