Can you use any type of swim baits?
Bass must be caught on a swimbait to be eligible. For the purposes of this tournament, a swimbait is defined as a fishing lure designed to imitate or represent a fish. It must be six inches or more in length. If it is a soft bait, it must have a tail designed to move back and forth, like a swimming fish. It may be a paddle tail, boot tail, wedge tail or similar design. Curly tails are not permitted. Split tails, like those found on flukes, are not permitted. Flukes and tubes are not permitted, no matter how large. Baits designed to imitate a swimming rat or small mammal are also permitted as long as the body (excluding the tail) is at least six inches in length. If you have any doubt if a lure will be accepted as a swimbait, contact us BEFORE the tournament begins.
