Okay so instead of doing some motor mods. I've decided to put my $ towards finishing my TM and Graph Network. I have a 1199 at bow and 998 at helm last year bought my Ulterra IPilot Link. I have ordered the HB 5 port hub and have the cabling needed I think? My question is Should I go Navionics which woild have hot spots already imbeded or Lake Master Plus which allows contour line GPS following to complete the HB/MK system or Navionics and add waypoints. Would appreciate feed back from those running similar systems.

I am curious about everyones opinion on this also. I recently moved here and had the Navionics Southeast but looking to get a chip for this area.

I have an Ulterra with ilink, it Networks with my humminbird Solix and my onyx . To take full advantage of ilink, you will need the Lakemaster chip.

Your talking the Lake Master Plus correct ? And you still have to have two cards/chips one for each graph correct?

Thx

I have both because some lakes are better with one then the other. I will say that I just got the LM V 4.0 and is very accurate so I really haven't been using my navionics lately. You will need one for each unit anyways so I would get both (Solix and Onyx can share maps but not the number units). If you are only looking to get one then definitely get the LM, there are just too many more benefits to it then the navionics for your setup.

Your waypoints are in the graphs, not the Navionics card unless you are referring to community edits.

Check your normal lakes and see if Lake Master has them in HD. They just updated several Texas lakes to HD last year. Not sure of the old HB units but the newer units have features for Lake Master cards (besides TM ipilot) that are really nice. I run both Lowrance and HB so I have both.

I think Navionics is a lot cleaner and easier to read waypoints and other stuff on.

I use the Lakemaster in my two Helix units but one of the old Navionics in my in-dash unit. They both show different features.

I use the Lakemaster in my two helix, I want to take advantage of the "follow the contour" operation.
I also have Navionics downloaded on my iPad and iPhone so I can get info there.
To me the best thing I have found is the Autochart Live that comes with the Helix. It is very accurate, and I like being able to set different colors to the different depth ranges.

Thanks for the fed back. I will do as some have suggested and use Navionics at my dash unit and Lake Master Plus for my bow. Makes the most sense.

Depends on the lake. I have both and use either one depending which lake or which area of a lake
