Mike Long strikes again. Anyone know of a bigger bass caught this year? This one was caught last week Wednesday. Tipped the scales at 17.8 lbs. Hate to see them weighed like that. Hats off to Mike though, he's the best there is.

Wow!
Again, rethinking using snaps on crankbaits and big swimbaits—these big bass catchers tend to be using them frequently

Looks like it was caught out of a jon boat with a transom mount trolling motor. Love small lake fishing!

Yes, I do believe Mike is the best there is, but I also believe he has the best access out there. His connections have connections. That's his second 17+ lb fish in the past month!

I agree that Mike has received some special access to water over the years, but those bass aren't running over and jumping into his boat just because he shows up.

Im the opposite, it doesnt really count in my book might as well be private. Little electric only lakes pumped full of trout dont do it for me, if that was from Clear Lake or the Delta it would be a bigger deal to me.

Either way thats a great fish and I would love to catch it in any lake.

Not sure if it was you, someone was wondering what kind MikeyBallz uses and I just seen it on a video. He uses the Owner welded ones that get bad reviews on Tackle Warehouse, says those guys must be crazy.
