It was a tough winter and spawn for me finding crappie. I was finally able to find a few fish today. Although the bite was slow I was encouraged by the results. Fish were on brush in 8-17 FOW and any mostly just off the bottom. A few were a little higher in the water column but not many. I did resort to buying a few minners though. It was about 50/50 jigs vs. minners. I did get to try out my new 8' Waterloo Crappie Slinger and it performed great. I have ordered one for my daughter and will probably order myself another one after hers is finished.

It's hard to get a full pic of an 8'er. roflmao Had it done in maroon and gold (SWT Bobcat) and was able to find a Pflueger President 6725XT on ebay that was maroon and gold with a little silver. It looks pretty sharp in person. I'm not totally sold on the Pflueger but it will suffice. Reel is smooth I just think the drag on my Shimano's is much better.
