Planning ahead and looking back, into the log book, we are in for another stellar April. Facing the same Spring conditions as last year where we caught many solid 18-24" trout with 8 over 25". We are a leg up on April this year, because many of our Spring areas have already been producing solid catches for us. Landing several fish in the 24-26" range in March, means the pre-spawn has started and once these big fish start to drop their eggs, there will be an explosive feed that takes place.

I have been out scouting on a few of my off days checking on areas, and finding some good fish that have seen little boat traffic due to our recent weather. These areas are holding all the signs of life and water color looks good, So come on down in April and don't miss your chance to hook into some great fish. I have many open dates, let's find one that works for you.

April open dates:
2-5
9-10, 13
16-20
23-27, 30

yep - Fishing Logs can come in handy ...

.... caught April 29th, 1995 at ~12:30 pm

Bought my son a rod n' reel and a football the day he was born at 5:55 am and other than his Mom and I, those were the 1st two things he touched in his life.

Around 11:00 am Dr. said Mom & my son needed some rest and I should grab some lunch and get some rest.

Deal is, ... I noticed that the tide was just right at Location #1 in the WadeFish Rockport book, so I decided to go fishin' and break the kids new rod n' reel in and 3rd trout I caught was bigger than my son and he was 22" the day he was born.

Put both the trout mount and his pole on the wall and that pole stayed there until my son was old enough to go fishin' !
