I am in negotiations on a '05 Skeeter ZX225 with a Vmax HPDI. Supposedly the injectors are bad; it is currently at the shop having compression checked and an overall inspection of the motor. What am I looking at if the injectors are in fact bad? Are they easy to take off myself? Seems like if I could take them off and send them to be clean/calibrated myself it would save me a lot of money. Just looking for advise or maybe someone who has had injector issues themselves. Thanks!

I would search YouTube for HPDI injector removal and see if that is something you can do yourself. If so, there are several shops around the country that will clean and flow test your injectors.

Here is one such shop in Houston:

I tinkered a bit with my Optimax that had sat for a couple of years before deciding to take it to someone who is trained and has the right tools to work on the motor.
