Yeah good question. I’ve never tried topwater on spawn and even less post When we had grass in Fork, a Bomber Long A slowly twitched on top would get massive strikes during the spawn and after until the fish moved offshore for the summer. It was a staple in my arsenal. Caught fish on it sitting on top in COLD water on a sunny day when it had warmed up to 48 degrees after a couple really warm days in Feb.
