Fish will be spawning with the water temps and full moon. Ill be there at our camp all weekend. Focus on 2-5 ft of water in flats Coming out of the main river and bayou channels..I quit using minnows years ago especially during the spawn on Caddo....... jigs work just as well if not better and are much easier. My go to color is white and chartreuse with a pink or orange head. Crappie nibbles are a plus.

Crappie nibbles? Seriously? During the spawn? Tell me you are kidding, please! juggle

Messing with crappie nibbles is almost as bad as Troy messing with menners

stir

White/chartreuse is a good color, basically anytime and basically on any lake...regardless if you use a plain colored head or a painted head...they look really cool with a chart head in forum pics! Hope you tear them up...leave the crappie nibbles, you dont need them!

The first time I ever heard of crappie nibbles was from crappiecat at last year's get together... my boat was pink and yellow and white polka dotted before the day was over...won't happen at this year's get together...if my wife don't fish with me, I'm hoping for a partner that won't be so messy. lizard

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Laner makes some pretty good white/chart baits...I really like them...I believe he calls them whitehots or something...thump buddys, is the one I use...thump chubbies are his new style, although I havent tried them, they have a good profile.

Tbox has some solid white tadpoles that you can dip the tail with chart spike it...I hear they work well...I got some while over there, gonna give it a go, see how Ilike that option.

And if you like hairjigs...Jerrys jigs sells my favorite...the Greasebath...it will catch everything that swims by!

Anyway, hope this info helps...use these baits and you will forget about nibbles...cause fish love them...I. Fact, when I use them, the fish always get hooked on them! hooked

2.5 inches this morning. Pines is running good but Little and Black Cypress are in the banks. Lake shouldn't be affected too much.

Yep it will come up a few inches but that will just help to keep some current in the lake. Current always makes for better fishing
