Does anyone know if crappie at Grapevine are hitting and if so , where do y'all think they are hanging out

They eat almost every day, just have to search a bit. It's March, spawn has started. Some are shallow others still deep. Marshall Creek would be a good place to start. If not try brushpiles near steep rocky points.

Grapevine fish typically start spawning in April and spawn well into May. You may find a few shallow in the creeks but with the rain, I think there wont be much in there now. I would be looking on rocky ledges for fish staging to spawn. The lake is still over a foot high and the gates are still open so it will probably be pretty tough.

I have been catching them in about 17' of water at my slip..still not really like it usually is this time of the year. VERY SLOW.....

Pretty typical when the lake goes up and down a lot. Once it settles the fishing will get better.
