I had Dan, Danial, & Skip out last night for some dock light fishing. They caught about 25 mixed bag of striper and lmb. 13 yr old Dan caught most of the fish as pop and dad sat watching him chunk and wind like a pro most of the night. Dan managed his pb lmb at 6.5 lbs! When dad saw all the big fish swimming in the lights he would jump in and catch a few. Large striper was about 7 lbs caught by Skip early in the trip. We fished cedar creek south to south d&d again. Ran out of time so I didnt try any further south but I intend to next trip. I will try to post pics later on my pc. Smartphone is smarter than me.

PK is fishing good right now. The lake is super clear. I can see filleted sand bass in 30 feet on the bottom where someone cleaned them and threw them in the water at the Cliffs Courtesy ramp.
Crappie are shallow now so the sand bass time is right around the corner.Hope the upcoming rains don't muddy the lake too much.

Turned six dozen miners into one crappie and a two black bass. Maybe they was tired from being up all night with Bobo. Glad the night shift is doing well. Nice job. Its been good in the day to except for Sunday Morning.

PK was on fire Sunday, Saturday we caught five or six up to 9+ pounds. Sunday was on like Donkey Kong! My boys got on them from 7:00am to about 11:00am. caught them like being in a school of sand bass, one after the other. They caught over 35 most over five pounds up to 14 pounds. Too bad we don't like to eat them, all catch and release.

Sorry to hear that Randy. I always figured the guides were having better luck than me. It's raining pretty good at PK right now so maybe this clear water will stain some but not too much. I got 6 black crappie using a jig and bobber along the deep edges in 6-10 feet. Some of the crappie had cormorant marks on them. All males but one. Would have gotten more but spooked a lot of fish not being able to control my boat in the wind and missed quite a few busy with the boat in the wind. Still got enough for me for a while. If the state ever gets off the stick and changes the LM bass to a 14 inch limit I would have had a limit of those. As for stripers, a week ago we were stacking them in Villa marina. All we got this week was blue cats. Two weeks ago Neely was stacked with stripers and I was catching them on minnows. The lake is changing so fast I no longer know where to fish.

Those are some nice fish! Pm me the area of the lake you were in please sir. I think I know but havent been there yet. Lol Those size ones are what we caught a few weeks ago with some 16 and 17 lbs thrown in occasionally.
Pkfishing We guides have our off days sometimes too. Ssshhhhh. Dont tell anyone though. Like sand Johnny said the longer I fish I come to realize the less I know about it.

Lake is in transition on all species except Black Bass as they are everywhere. The above stated intel is from some good anglers, so its off to Bporte for me.

Got on some decent ditch pickles sat. A.m. but Sat. Night the striper were on. Fished from willow too south DnD and caught fish on every light we hit except maybe 2 of em. No super toads but a lot of 22-26in fish. Caught a few hybrids in the mix too

I think we prolly caught over 30 striper between 2 of us. Quite a few undersized ones. Some big sandies and little dink black bass and some crappie. Catch an release night for me. It was kinda hard to turn em all back but I don't need any more fish in the freezer.
