Dennis I agree a 100 percent but I was not even talking about finding fish I was trying to adress coop2564 problem of not being able to find the humps that showed on his navtronics card .He stated that he did not have side scan and I just said you did not have to have side scan to find the humps. But I agree it is a great and valuable tool. But the way I understood his post he could not find the humps that is navtronics card showed. Johnny Thanks Johnny, thats right about ran out of gas looking for the hump south of the island lol. Going friday again, anyone have advice? Also about how far out from island is that hump? We were looking around 250yds or so is where my Navionics had us? I'm not sure 250 yards would have even gotten you past the flats. If you head straight south from the west end of the island, you will encounter a dropoff that runs east and west. You should see it right before the racing buoy out there. The drop is obvious as you go from 12ish feet to 30 ft. The hump is on further south from there.

Go west . It actually starts at the island . I will be out friday . I will be in a white falcon with green trim. I have a customer but I can direct you to it. It is not just a hump. It is and underwater island that runs a mile and a half to the south. Look on the edges of that island where it slopes off into deeper water. Although that is not one of the better spots. That area south of the island is very popular for trollers witch I never do. What kind of boat will you be in. I tell people a teach trip will pay for its self in gas savings in just a few trips plus you will catch fish. Johnny

We'll be out there Friday as well. We'll swing by and say hi, Johnny.

The fish we caught sat. were surface schooling in cove straight to east of pelican island over by swim area were the nice big house on hill is. But they were not very many. We caught ten.

Had several calls about what this rain will do to the sandbass. I think it will give the spawning fish in the creek a booast. the spawning fish in the lake might move them around a bit but not a lot of effect. I will know friday I have a trip and will report. Johnny
