I inherited my dads bass boat, that I have a lot of great memories from. But it is in rough shape. The whole inside looks like it needs to be replaced, carpet, seats, not even sure about the engine, trailer tires, ..... The boat is a Late 1980's Ranger 17' bass boat. Where do I start? Are there places that can come out and look it over and give me an estimate? I'm in Austin, BTW.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

Ranger has it's own restoration shop very expensive though. Worth it yes they look new when done. Sentamental machines are worth more than any dollar amount. That said all the charactor marks bring back vivid memories that nothing else can. Best guess would be low end 5,000 high end 10,000 depending on what you want. New boats in that length today cost 30 to 40 thousand.

Find good fiberglass boat shop don't be afraid to travel it's a drop off and wait anyway.

Find outboard shop for the outboard.

Google is your friend.

Classic fiberglass in Sanger (Denton texas area) will do it right.
