Caught one of those a couple of years ago out near the Flower Gardens, guide called it a Strawberry Grouper, it was delicious.

Rock Hind, AKA strawberry. one of the best eating groupers in the gulf. usually about a sandwich-worth= perfect!
heads-up, though- these fish are typically concentrated around coral heads, & therefore have been considered one of the highest concentrated carriers of SEGUTERA toxin, as well. No way to externally determine if fish is infected, so roll the dice.....?
