Anytime you hold a fish like that you risk snapping its jaw. A one pound fish has a one pound fishes jaw, not a 5 pound fishes jaw. Theyre porportional, and all likely to break if held like that .

It wouldnt have bothered that little fish long in my boat. Id have filleted him in a few hours after catching him. Hes the kind that needs a close shave.
