I would have a hard time leaving one of those lakes if you really got on 'em. Sounds like you and your son will have a lot of quality time. I'm jealous.

Sounds like an adventure. Might be a little tough to try and catch fish at that pace though. A couple of those lakes aren't easy to figure out, especially in one day. But you can say you've been there.

Sounds like a blast, but... Unless your truck has wings and you plan to [censored] in bottles along the way some of those travel times are aggressive to say the least! Be safe and tight lines!

Guys, there is no way I could keep up that pace! It would take 15 weeks, not 15 days. I wish I was 15 had the energy! My son wants to go catch some smallmouth and I have not spent much time up north. If you had to pick a couple of those lakes, where would you go?

Not 100% sure yet. I'm wondering if we should wait a little later into the summer and take real advantage of the time away from the TX heat.

Mille Lacs is the first place I'd take off the list. It has been beat to death like you can't imagine.

It really depends wildly upon when you are going to go. Bass will be spawning lots of places in early June, yet on Lake Michigan they might be weeks away in the north.

Sturgeon bay is my favorite place to slaughter smallies, but it's big water and I'm not sure how well you could do there going in blind.

Very ambitious...have fun! I wish Dad and I did trips like that to look back on. It it were me, though, I'd take a few of those destinations off to spend more than one day at a place.
