Saturday was Anthony and buddies Ryan and Clark on Lake Palestine. After fishing slow all week and dealing with fish moving in and out, fishing behind people and playing the hit or miss game of spring. I told myself I’m done with shallow water fishing.
So after checking brush earlier that week with no one home. I told myself we are going to do or die on brush. So we did,and it wasn’t long before there where slabs slinging in the boat. I believe this first wave of fish are done spawning and are moving back out on brush piles now.
Now it’s time to drop the hammer on them and start slinging some slabs. We fished brush in 10 to 16 foot. Fish fell victim to BoneHead Tackle stump bugs in colors night stick and slick neon these can be found at Creekside Sports in Chandler or SMS Outdoors in Flint.
Ended the day with 36 slabs. Guys the fishing is going to do nothing but get better, as more and more fish pull out to the deeper water.
Guys after fishing many different lakes in Texas and out of state these East Texas lakes are hard to beat. These lakes are very fertile and get limited fishing pressure, which equals Big Crappie and numbers of them. Making them some of the best Crappie lakes in Texas.
So if you’re looking for an awesome and unbelievable crappie adventure give me a call, I would be more than happy to put you on them.
Thanks again guys, see you next time!!!
