I use a Grayline, with a dannco venturi instead of stock air plug, It is an OK tank, the best is the super bait tank II by ron vest, Graylines are lacking on the filter components, at best it can hold shad over night. I'm in the process of cutting the filter box out and replacing it with a bigger filtration system.

I would also check out the new tanks by striper soup, http://stripersoup.com/wpress/shop/#!/Striper-Soup-Moeller-M-26F-IMPROVED-FOR-2018/p/41253126/category=6630113 its only at 26 gallon though.

https://www.facebook.com/melsbaittanks/ mels bait tanks are also pretty hot right now, very good filtration. (its all about the filtration)

Fished with Ezell Cox last fall and saw his Mels Bait Tank. He had nothing but praise for this tank and said he has tried most all of them. Filtration on this tank is huge and easy to clean. Said he could keep baits for several days. Looked like a very good design and construction.

OK, thanks, Guys!! Gonna try to do a lot more of Live baiting this year for a change. Watching three or four rods bowing at the same time is pretty awesome!! Thanks for your help!! I've decided on a Mel Bait Tank !!

I am not a live bait fisherman but I also saw the bait tank that Ezell Cox uses and I was really impressed with it. Huge filter and the pump is outside the tank so that the heat from the pump doesnt warm the water up like some bait tanks do.

I'm out of luck. Just got a replied email, Mel doesn't take orders right now. He only built tanks during the winter.

I have a Mel's and its a great tank. I have also had super bait tank 2, and a greyline.

The Mel's has been the best tank I have used.

Bruce, you and your son Brandon got mad catching skillz from the weekly pics I received. You don't need live baitN. But if want to go to the dark side, I am like Gene. That Mel's tank is a smart design and the best design tank I've seen. My engineer brain tells me that tank was designed by NASA and Cadillac ppl. You know once NASA finds water on Mars they will find fish next and will send that tank to Mars for the Martian anglers.

I have a super tank 2, all filtration system is outside fish holding area but still enclosed in tank design. Only caveat , takes 14 weeks to receive your tank once order is placed.
I fish with other people that have Grayline, the super tank is a far superior product. Nothing to lose by checking it out.

My thought was exactly that when I checked out the Mel tanks. Tank is made buy a fisherman himself. He fish during the warm months and build tanks when it gets cold. This guy understand exactly what needs to be in a tank constructions. It's design and tested in the field himself. I'm sold the minute I saw that tank. Don't take NASA to know a good tank when you see one. I checkout the super 2 tank and its good too. But im sold on the Mel. Gonna wait till when he takes order again and order me a couple of them. One for me and one for a friend.

Anyway Todd some times it's good to just sit back relax and watch them rod bend.

You are about to ruin yourself. Once you start using shad it's impossible to go back to lures. Hard to slab at fish that won't hit knowing they would instantly take a live shad.

Four rods with a striper could be a big problem unless you have four hands...

Yep i know what you are talking about.I told Todd sit back and relax kinda fishing with live bait, but WRONG!!. Having 6 or 8 rods over the side with live baits and a school of hungry stripers or hybrids can get chaotic.

I am searching for a greyline slimline 25 or bigger that will fit in the space where my cooler/seat goes. I have a great condition greyline blue interior oval and its either a 17 or 20 gallon. Will sell or trade for the one that i want. Cant get rid of my existing one though until i find one that fits in my cooler location. Greyline appears to be shut down temporarily since they have sold. I cant find another manufacturer that has one that fits this space. anyone know of anything?

I have a smaller cooler area in front of my console. Id love to have something to have there as a seat/bait tank. I could also do something under the driver seat. I have the same setup. Let me know if you find something.
